Taylors Bulbs Tulip 'Candy Apple Delight' (7)

A Darwin Hybrid with a bold two-tone look, Tulip 'Candy Apple Delight' bears vibrant cherry-red blooms crisply edged in white — a fresh, cheerful contrast that stands out beautifully in the spring garden. Reaching around 40-50cm on tall, sturdy stems, it's an excellent cut flower as well as a lively addition to pots, containers, beds and borders, with a notably long flowering period.

Plant the bulbs from September to November at a depth of 10-15cm in fertile, well-drained soil, choosing a sunny to partially shaded spot sheltered from strong winds and excess wet. 'Candy Apple Delight' flowers in April and May, and as a Darwin Hybrid it's a reliable, hardy performer well suited to beds, borders and pots alike. As with all tulips, the bulbs are harmful if eaten and can cause skin allergies, so gloves are worth wearing when handling.
