Paeonia Lactiflora 'Edulis Superba' 2Ltr
One of the true old-fashioned classics — this variety dates back to 1824 and remains a firm favourite for its early flowering and richly fragrant, fully double blooms in silvery-pink with a deeper rose heart. Flowering earlier than most peonies, from late spring, it produces an abundance of ruffled flowers on strong stems above dark green, dissected foliage.
An upright, clump-forming herbaceous perennial reaching 0.5–1m in height and spread. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil, and leave undisturbed once planted — peonies dislike being moved and only improve with age. A superb cut flower, and reliably long-lived in the border. Supplied in a 2 litre pot. Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch. Available from Pengelly Garden Centre.
