Taylors Bulbs Tulip 'Tarafa'

Tulip 'Tarafa' is a charming Kaufmanniana variety with elegant creamy-white flowers striped in bold cherry-red, opening wide into a star shape in full sun. The blooms sit above attractively purple-mottled foliage, giving interest even before flowering begins.

Growing to a neat 25cm, this early-flowering, low-growing tulip is well suited to the front of borders, rockeries and containers. Plant bulbs in well-worked, free-draining soil during autumn; left undisturbed, it will naturalise readily, slowly spreading into charming drifts over successive years. As with all tulips, the bulbs are harmful if eaten, so gloves are recommended when handling and planting.
