Paeonia 'Patio Rome' 3L

Part of the Patio Peony series, 'Rome' is a compact, sturdy variety bred specifically for containers and small spaces. It produces prolific, fully double sugar-pink blooms with peek-a-boo yellow stamens, held on strong, upright stems above dissected dark green foliage that's tinged red in spring. Being naturally short and sturdy, it won't flop or need staking — ideal for a patio pot, terrace, or the front of a border where a full-sized peony would be too much.

A late-season bloomer, it extends the peony display into early summer and makes a lovely, fragrant cut flower. Low-maintenance and long-lived once settled in, it's happy in sun or partial shade and resistant to deer and rabbits.
