Paeonia lactiflora 'Sarah Bernhardt' 5L

An all-time favourite and multi-award winner, 'Sarah Bernhardt' is one of the most celebrated peonies ever bred. It produces enormous, fully double, fragrant rose-pink blooms — up to 20cm across — with delicately ruffled inner petals and a soft, ruffled white edge, occasionally flecked with raspberry. A true showstopper in late spring, held on strong stems above dark green, divided foliage.

Blooming late-midseason, this heirloom variety extends the peony season nicely if planted alongside earlier cultivars. Its long-lasting, beautifully scented cut flowers make it a favourite for bouquets, and once established it's a reliable, low-maintenance perennial that will return for decades. Deer and rabbit resistant, and attractive to pollinators.
