Paeonia lactiflora 'Kansas' 11cm

An award-winning classic and American Peony Society Gold Medal winner, 'Kansas' is known for its huge, fully double blooms in an intense watermelon-pink to fuchsia-red — one of the most vividly coloured peonies you'll see in the garden. The colour holds beautifully in full sun rather than fading, and the lightly fragrant blooms are packed with layers of petals on strong, upright stems.

A robust, larger-growing plant that forms multiple tightly grouped stems, 'Kansas' puts on a real show in late spring to early summer and makes a fantastic, long-lasting cut flower. Reliable and vigorous once established, it's a low-maintenance perennial that will return year after year, and its dark green foliage stays attractive right through summer.
