An elegant and award-winning purple moor grass, Molinia caerulea 'Edith Dudszus' forms a neat, tidy clump of narrow, rich green foliage from which slender, airy flower plumes rise on striking deep purple-black stems. Held well above the leaves from summer through to autumn, the delicate dark purple flowers create a light, dynamic texture in the border before the whole plant turns a warm orange-yellow as autumn takes hold.

Compact and well-behaved, this RHS Award of Garden Merit winner reaches up to 1.2m in height with a slender spread, making it a versatile choice for smaller borders, naturalistic planting schemes, or as a graceful vertical accent among lower-growing perennials. Its tidy, clump-forming habit means it holds its shape well without sprawling.
