Iris reticulata 'Louise' 9 bulbs
A dainty dwarf iris for the depths of winter, Iris reticulata 'Louise' brings soft, elegant colour to the garden when little else dares to flower. Each cream-coloured bloom is marked with a bold yellow central stripe on the falls, giving a lovely two-tone effect against the classic reticulata form of three drooping "falls" and three upright "standards", held above narrow, grass-like foliage that elongates after flowering.
Reaching just 10-15cm in height, this variety is best planted in early autumn, 8-10cm deep, in free-draining, gritty soil in full sun. Reticulata irises perform best where the soil dries out over summer, making them ideal for rock gardens, raised beds, troughs and pots. Left undisturbed, the bulbs will slowly multiply into cheerful clumps for years to come
