Citrus Lime Tahiti 3ltr
Also known as the Persian lime, this is the seedless, thornless lime variety found in shops worldwide, grown here as a compact patio citrus for the UK garden or conservatory. Glossy, dark green evergreen foliage sets off fragrant white blossom and juicy, tangy-sharp limes that ripen from deep green to a paler yellow-green, ready to pick as needed straight from the tree.
Best grown in a large container so it can be moved under cover for winter, as it isn't frost hardy and needs protection once temperatures drop below around 5°C. Position in full sun for at least six hours a day, whether outdoors on a sheltered patio through summer or on a bright windowsill or conservatory over the colder months. Use a free-draining, ericaceous or specialist citrus compost, water when the top inch of soil feels dry, and feed regularly with a citrus fertiliser through the growing season to keep foliage healthy and fruiting reliable.
A lovely productive addition to a sunny patio, and a real talking point once it starts fruiting. Each plant is hand-selected before dispatch.
